Job Description

Were looking for a motivated Electrical Control Design Engineer to join an expanding Controls & Automation team based near Keele!

This is a new role in a growing engineering business, offering hands-on work, career progression, and exposure to exciting industrial automation projects.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Design and produce electrical schematics using Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Work on VSDs, soft starters, PLCs, HMIs, and other intelligent control systems
  • Create full documentation for manufacture and installation
  • Support panel design, assembly, and wiring
  • Attend site for commissioning and technical support
  • Ensure designs comply with legislation, safety standards, and best practice

Hours

Flexible day shifts (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday)

Option to work either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

*Flexi time option* – can work 8am-6pm and claim time back in lieu for extra days off

Pay

£35,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Yearly Bonuses (approx. £1300)!

Skills/Experience Required

  • Electrical Engineering qualification (BTEC / ONC or equivalent)
  • Hands-on panel design, assembly, and wiring experience
  • Experience with at least one: VSDs, PLCs or HMIs
  • Knowledge of soft start technology and intelligent control products
  • Experience using Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong communication skills and team focus
  • A valid UK driving licence
