Job Description
Were looking for an experienced and hands-on CNC Supervisor to join one of our prestigious clients based in Rugby!
Youll lead a skilled team of machinists and engineers in a busy precision engineering workshop, supporting production for sectors including power generation, defence and heavy industry.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent role offering leadership responsibility, varied work, and a competitive salary!
What youll be doing
- Supervise day-to-day CNC shop floor operations and workflow planning
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists to meet production and quality targets
- Operate manual machinery (lathe and/or milling machine) as needed to support the team
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring equipment
- Make timely decisions to resolve production issues and optimise output
- Liaise with management and support departments to coordinate production schedules
- Adapt to changing workloads and deadlines
Hours
Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-16:00pm
Friday 7:00am-12:00pm
Pay
Upto £21 per hour / £41,496 per annum (depending on experience)
Skills / Experience Required
- Proven experience in a CNC supervisory or leadership role
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment, including lathe and milling machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
- Proactive problem-solver with strong decision-making abilities
- Full UK driving licence
