Were looking for a skilled CNC Router to join a growing engineering company in Derby!
This is a hands-on role where youll set up and operate CNC routers to produce high-precision components for a variety of projects. Full programming training will be provided, so this role is ideal for operators who want to expand their skills. Youll work in a modern, clean, and highly organised facility with opportunities for career development and progression.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position with flexible start times and early finish on Fridays!
What youll be doing
- Set up and operate CNC routers to produce precise components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models (training provided)
- Select tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient production
- Monitor production and carry out inspections to ensure high-quality results
- Resolve machining issues and maintain smooth workflow
- Plan jobs efficiently to minimise waste and maximise productivity
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of the team
- Learn CAM programming and advanced CNC techniques through on-the-job training
Hours
Monday-Friday, 13:00-21:30pm (38 Hours)
Pay
Β£27,584.96 per annum
Skills/Experience Required
- Experience operating CNC Routers (training in programming provided)
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings
- Attention to detail and ability to produce precise, intricate work
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND equivalent preferred, but practical experience considered
- Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
