A growing civil engineering contractor based in Crewe is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role will focus on pricing a range of civils projects, with a strong emphasis on roads, highways, and Section 278 works.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Price civils works including highways and road construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Use platforms such as Constructionline and Market Dojo for tender submissions
- Work closely with commercial and operational teams
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Estimator within civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of highways, roads, and S278 works
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience using Constructionline and Market Dojo
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
Salary & Benefits:
- £50,000 - £60,000 per year (depending on experience)
