We currently have a fantastic job opportunity for an experienced Area Sales Engineer to join a leading UK engineering company specialising in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and service of pumping equipment, valves, and control automation systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, generating new opportunities, and building strong customer relationships across the Midlands and North Wales. This is a field-based sales role, and we are looking for someone with Engineering / Technical Product Sales experience.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What you'll be doing:
- Visit new and existing customers across the Midlands and North Wales
- Generate new business leads and develop profitable sales opportunities
- Identify customer needs and build strong relationships with prospective customers
- Achieve company targets and ensure profitable sales
- Act as an ambassador for the company and promote all products and services, including pumping stations, pumps, valves, and control & automation systems
- Organise and attend client meetings and site visits
- Prepare sales reports and maintain the CRM system
- Provide efficient feedback to internal teams to ensure client expectations are met
- Report directly into the Sales Director
Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (flexibility required). Mobile role with occasional overnight stays.
Pay: Basic: £35k - £45k per annum (depending on experience) with an OTE up to £60k.
Skills/Experience Required:
- A valid UK driving licence is essential
- Must have previous Engineering / Technical Product Sales experience
- An understanding of pumps / pipework is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be flexible to meet the needs of the business
