Modus Careers is recruiting on behalf of a respected design-led business specialising in workplace and commercial environments. Working with a diverse mix of clients across consultancy, corporate, and lab sectors, they deliver intelligent, human-focused design solutions with a strong commercial edge.

They are currently seeking a Workplace Designer with experience in the commercial furniture and fit-out space to join their growing London team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role with real ownership, ideal for someone confident managing multiple projects, engaging directly with clients, and producing high-quality technical design documentation.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading the design coordination process from concept to installation
  • Supporting the Sales and Project Management teams to deliver successful outcomes for both existing and new clients
  • Managing drawings across multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, architects and clients
  • Producing proposal and specification packs for presentations and bids
  • Creating technical drawings, take-offs, and layout plans
  • Planning and managing installation requirements and space planning details
  • Developing client-facing visuals and presentation graphics
  • Running finishes workshops and material collation
  • Providing day-to-day design support for the wider London studio

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has 4+ years’ experience in the commercial workplace or furniture design sector
  • Is confident in managing client and architect relationships with professionalism and creativity
  • Possesses strong technical skills across space planning, drawing packages and specification writing
  • Has a proactive, collaborative approach and can adapt to shifting project demands
  • Is proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup & the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Brings strong organisation and communication skills, with an eye for detail and efficiency
