Midweight Interior Designer | High-End Residential | London | Up to £45,000

Some studios design beautiful rooms.

Fewer create homes that feel truly personal, where every joinery detail, fabric and piece of furniture has been chosen for the people who live there.

We’re working with a leading luxury architecture and interior design practice in London, known for bespoke, characterful homes for a very discerning private client base.

They’re now looking for a Midweight Interior Designer to join their interiors team and help deliver some of the most considered residential projects in the capital.

The Studio

This is a well-established practice with a team of around 50, and the way it works sets it apart.

Architects, technicians and interior designers all sit under one roof, so interiors and architecture are developed together rather than handed from one discipline to the next.

The result is a holistic, collaborative way of working, and homes that feel timeless rather than fashionable.

The projects are high-end and genuinely bespoke: London townhouses, country homes and private residences, delivered for clients who expect the very best and notice every detail.

The Role

  • You’ll join the interiors team as a Midweight Designer, working closely with Senior Designers and Interior Design Directors.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll balance creative and technical work, from early concept and mood boards through to FF&E specification, procurement and delivery.
  • You’ll lead the design of smaller projects in your own right while playing a key part on larger schemes, and you’ll typically manage two projects at once.
  • You’ll produce technical drawings, elevations and visuals for interiors, joinery and bespoke furniture, and work alongside the in-house architects to keep every project coordinated.
  • You’ll also meet clients at key design stages, attend supplier meetings and factory visits, and help guide and develop junior FF&E designers.
  • For someone ready to grow their responsibility, it’s a role with real scope.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Around 4 to 6 years’ experience in interior design and FF&E, ideally on bespoke projects
  • High-end residential experience is essential
  • Strength across both FF&E and interior architecture, rather than one alone
  • Confident in technical drawing, detailing and specification, including joinery and furniture
  • A strong working knowledge of Auto CAD, Photoshop, In Design and Esti PC
  • Sound knowledge of UK and international high-end suppliers, materials and fabrics
  • Experience managing FF&E budgets, cost schedules, purchase orders and deliveries
  • A refined eye, calm organisation and the confidence to build trust with clients
  • Experience on UK-based projects and the right to work in the UK
  • Exposure to hotel, retail or F&B projects alongside residential would be a bonus.
  • What’s On Offer
  • A salary of up to £45,000, depending on experience
  • High-profile, high-end projects for a discerning client base
  • Clear opportunities for career growth and progression
  • One work-from-home day each week
  • One week each year working fully remotely, including from abroad
  • Lunch provided Monday to Thursday
  • Regular social events, annual parties and employee recognition awards
  • A collaborative, inspiring studio, and a dog‑friendly office

Interested?

If you’re a midweight designer who loves the detail of high-end residential work and wants to grow within a studio where architecture and interiors genuinely work as one, I’d love to hear from you.
