We are thrilled to be hiring a Design Engineer on behalf of our client, an industry leader in the manufacturing of workplace furniture for the UK & EU markets.
Role Overview: We are searching for a skilled Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic design and engineering department. You will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge furniture products for in-house manufacture and make a significant impact on the company's growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative designs using SolidWorks.
- Utilise Swood CAM & Nesting or similar software for advanced manufacturing processes.
- Prepare programs and data for a 5-axis CNC router and a 3-axis nesting machine.
- Collaborate with a team to drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, ideally Professional 2020 and above.
- Experience with Swood CAM & Nesting or similar software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite .
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driver’s licence.
Additional Information:
- Competitive salary range: £40,000 – £43,000 , based on experience.
- 21 days holiday + Bank holidays per year (increasing +1 day annually, up to 25 days).
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:50 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break).
