Job Description Job Title: Director of Operations Location: Central London Reports to: C- Level Direct Reports: Head of Operations, Senior IT Manager, Facilities Manager About the Role A prestigious and high-growth luxury brand based in Mayfair, London, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to drive operational efficiency and excellence across all functions. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive leader with a strong operational and technological background to play a pivotal role in the company’s continued expansion, particularly into new markets like the US and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex operational processes and implementing data-driven solutions. They will bring a blend of analytical skills, leadership ability, and innovative thinking to support the company’s growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Drive operational strategy and ensure alignment with the company’s overarching business goals. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient processes across all departments. Support new store openings, ensuring processes and standards are upheld. Logistics Oversight: Manage international logistics, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective operations. Develop best practices for logistics across all markets. Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management strategies aimed at achieving zero stock loss. Technology Management: Develop a 5-year IT Roadmap aligned with the Business Plan. Oversee ERP system management to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and seamless integration with new technologies. Lead the introduction of a new clienteling system, manage IT infrastructure, and ensure cyber security and disaster recovery readiness. Facilities Management: Oversee all facility operations, including maintenance, safety, and compliance. Security: Manage the security team across multiple sites and lead initiatives to raise security awareness through training. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and monitor operations to ensure targets are met, implementing solutions where needed. Team Development: Mentor and develop operational staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Budget Management: Oversee budget development and management, driving cost-saving initiatives across operations. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with finance, retail, HR, and other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in manufacturing and knowledge of luxury, retail, or jewellery sectors (preferred). Proven ability to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic goals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Experience with market expansion initiatives, especially in the US and Middle East. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Business Central or a similar ERP system. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
