We are one of the fastest-growing payments businesses in the UK and Europe and are looking to hire ambitious, and value-adding talent to scale our Product team. You will play a key role in driving the success and evolution of our products for a range of industry verticals.

We are deeply integrated into the payments ecosystem. In the UK, we are direct participants of Faster Payments and Bacs, and hold settlement accounts at the Bank of England. Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA and SWIFT. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard across the UK and Europe. Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank. Modulr now has over 400 employees globally across offices in London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.

The Role: Product Managers are responsible for product discovery, design, build and launch plans for existing and new front-end led products (across desktop and mobile). You will develop products for customers across a variety of target industry verticals in UK and Europe. The team is a core part of Modulr and works cross-functionally with technology, sales, marketing, ops and compliance functions to deliver on our go-to-market objectives by designing and building products our customers love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for discovery, development, delivery, and ongoing management of their products.
  • Work closely with the executive to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap, ensuring this is clearly documented and communicated to the wider business.
  • Develop high-quality product designs and specifications, that address business requirements, as well as epic and user story definition including clear acceptance criteria.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of the roadmap for all workstreams.
  • Ensure scalable ways of working with the engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace each sprint.
  • Ensuring end-to-end delivery of products, ensuring all implications on teams across the business are understood and managed ahead of go-live.
  • Ensuring internal documentation and functional product collateral is created and maintained.
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with key payments schemes, standards bodies, and suppliers.
  • Accountable for the ongoing, overall performance of all products across the business and assess the performance against pre-defined metrics.
  • Accountable for understanding costs and working with the wider team to input into pricing strategies.
  • Responsible for regularly communicating updates on progress, ensuring any issues are pro-actively managed.

About You: You will have a track record of delivering results in a fast-moving business where complexity and ambiguity is the norm. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration is essential to being successful in this role. A stellar track record in product marketing (including design and hands-on execution) driven by curiosity, experimentation and continuous enhancement. Strong track record with solid experience in product management. Preference for experience within the payments industry with a focus on B2B models. We will consider SaaS and B2B technology backgrounds with strong community building experience. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience developing and leading a high-performing team. Ability to work independently, balancing multiple priorities that may change frequently. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience managing third parties, preferably payment schemes. Outstanding communication skills, able to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Be able to operate at a range of levels – both in terms of big picture strategic thinking, thought leadership and getting into the data and analysis.
