What You’ll Do
- We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior, Enterprise-focused Sales Development Representative (SDR) with direct experience in payments or embedded finance, and a proven track record of generating pipeline within large, complex enterprise accounts.
- In this role, you will be instrumental in driving top-of-funnel growth across our largest and most strategic accounts by identifying and engaging new prospects, building meaningful relationships, and qualifying high-quality, high-value opportunities for our sales pipeline.
- You will take a proactive, outbound-focused approach, using your industry expertise and network to connect with key decision-makers across the Fintech landscape and open doors for new business opportunities.
- For enterprise accounts, this means building a well-researched point of view on a prospect's payment architecture and buying committee before you reach out, and using that insight to build a compelling business case for change.
- Drive outbound prospecting campaigns to generate qualified leads for the sales team.
- Leverage your expertise to identify new market opportunities and tailor outreach.
- Research target accounts, map key stakeholders, and develop personalised outreach strategies.
- Build a well-researched point of view on each target account's payment infrastructure, stakeholder map, and buying committee ahead of outreach.
- Engage with senior decision-makers (C-suite, Finance, Product, Operations), navigating complex, multi-threaded buying committees, to understand their challenges and position Modulr’s solutions effectively.
- Qualify inbound leads and nurture them through the early stages of the sales cycle.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Executives, Marketing, and Partnerships teams to optimise pipeline generation strategies.
- Provide insights from the field to shape go-to-market strategy, messaging, and product positioning.
- Build credible points of view on complex payment challenges, translating technical detail into a clear business case for senior stakeholders.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline targets, with a focus on pipeline quality and value across a defined set of strategic enterprise accounts.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in a quota-carrying SDR/BDR role, ideally within payments, embedded finance, or complex B2B SaaS.
- Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder buying committees (Finance, Product, Engineering) within large, complex organisations.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking - able to connect a prospect's business priorities to Modulr's proposition and build the early stages of a business case.
- Experience with account planning or ABM-style territory management, rather than solely campaign-driven, high-volume prospecting.
- High energy, high activity, ready to define how pipeline gets made and be a self-starter.
- Makes the room better, energy is contagious, celebrates teammates, and brings the kind of attitude that multiplies success.
- Able to take ownership, set the bar high and hold themselves to it.
