We are a leading embedded payments provider in the UK and Europe and are looking to hire ambitious and value-adding talent. The Product Director, Payments will play a critical role, building and leading a high-performing product team to drive revenue growth and develop innovative products.

The Role

As a Financial Product Manager at Modulr, you will be an integral part of the team, working closely within our Product team to solve problems faced by internal stakeholders. You will collaborate with Finance and Payment Operations teams to ensure key processes such as client billing, safeguarding, daily reconciliations, and management accounts are efficient, accurate, and effective.

Your responsibilities include uncovering problems, gathering requirements, producing detailed specifications, and exploring new data solutions to improve operational processes. As a member of the Product team, you will have visibility of new products and change programs that may impact operational functions. Therefore, you will also act in an advisory capacity to ensure these do not adversely affect key processes and teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide teams with the systems and information needed to manage their daily activities.
  • Help Modulr scale its core operations to manage more clients and products with fewer resources.
  • Build efficiencies into operational processes, including automation, GenAI, platform enhancements, and leveraging third-party systems.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and onboard vendors and systems to achieve scale.
  • Ensure processes and systems meet regulatory, contractual, and industry best practices across jurisdictions.
  • Leverage Modulr’s capabilities to transform finance functions, making money flow safer and faster.
  • Support initiatives that transform Finance and Payment Operations teams.

The Team

You will report to the Product Lead – Customer Operations and work daily with finance, payment operations, data, engineering teams, and vendors to address operational challenges.

About you

You have a track record of delivering results in fast-moving environments, are comfortable with change and uncertainty, and possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You are ambitious about pursuing a career in Product Management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst or product role, preferably in tech or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools: Excel and SQL are essential; experience with Data Warehouses, Python, Power BI, Tableau is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
