What You’ll Do
- Prepare and complete daily client money and bank reconciliations within established deadlines, following the company’s reconciliation policy.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve non-reconciled items, escalating and driving root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor real-time payment and transaction flows, identifying trends or potential reconciliation issues.
- Support the accurate processing of client money transactions across schemes including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, SEPA, Direct Debits, card transactions, and FX.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to resolve reconciliation and payment queries in line with regulatory and scheme requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting new product initiatives, reporting, incident management, and continuous improvement activities.

What You’ll Need
- A proactive approach to leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance operational efficiency and decision making.
- Previous experience in reconciliations, payments, or treasury within an operational team.
- Solid understanding of at least one UK or international payment scheme.
- Strong multi-tasking, prioritisation, and time management skills; adaptable and resilient.
- Excellent Excel skills and awareness of Snowflake / SQL queries or similar.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working with Electronic Money Institution (EMI) regulations.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques.
- Exposure to card payments or FX processes.
