About Us

We are a technology solutions provider specialising in the public sector. Our mission is to help government organisations become truly data-driven by transforming their digital services, streamlining operational processes, improving citizen outcomes, and enhancing transparency across public services. We work closely with government bodies to design and deliver modern, secure, and scalable digital solutions that have real-world impact.

The Role

We are looking to engage an experienced Delivery Lead on a contract basis, to join our delivery teams working with a Central Government client. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of a high-profile central government project within a consultancy setting. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex digital and data solutions that meet user needs while aligning with government standards, policies, and delivery frameworks.

Working closely with client stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams, you will create the conditions for high-performing delivery. This includes planning and managing delivery across multiple workstreams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and proactively identifying and removing blockers to maintain momentum. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies, and ensuring that delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives and governance requirements. You will also help shape delivery approaches, balancing agility with the controls expected in a central government environment.

In addition to leading delivery, you will champion agile ways of working—coaching teams, embedding continuous improvement practices, and fostering a collaborative, outcome-focused culture. As part of a consultancy, you will contribute to internal capability building, sharing best practices and supporting the growth of delivery excellence across engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a high-profile central government project, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to user and business needs.
  • Manage and optimise a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective collaboration and high performance.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g. stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure consistent application of Agile practices.
  • Remove blockers and manage impediments, enabling teams to maintain momentum and deliver value continuously.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and policy constraints.
  • Provide clear and transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, issues, and financials to both client and internal leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with government standards and governance, including GDS service standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using data and feedback to refine delivery approaches and improve team effectiveness.
  • Support product-centric delivery, working closely with Product Managers to prioritise backlogs and maximise value.
  • Champion a user-centred approach, ensuring that solutions are designed and delivered with end users in mind.
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting the development of delivery capability within both the client organisation and consultancy.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading agile delivery on complex digital or data programmes, ideally within central government or the wider public sector.
  • Strong understanding of Agile.
  • Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience navigating government governance and assurance processes, including familiarity with GDS service standards and delivery phases.
  • Strong planning and delivery management capability, including managing risks, dependencies, budgets, and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to remove blockers and drive progress in complex, ambiguous, and fast-moving environments.
  • Data-driven mindset, using metrics and insights to inform decisions, track performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience delivering user-centred services, with an understanding of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to embed agile ways of working and support team development.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing or contributing to project financials (e.g. forecasting, utilisation, or budgeting).

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience working in a consultancy environment.
  • Knowledge of UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
  • Exposure to data governance, data architecture, or data platforms.

Additional Requirements

  • Proactive and self-directed, comfortable working in small teams.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a focus on outcomes.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Must qualify for UK Security Clearance (SC) (essential).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
