About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Operations will lead operations across four UK Service Centres, with responsibility for Production, Transport and Client Support.

This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape operational performance across the business.

You will drive continuous improvement, enhance quality and productivity, standardise processes across multiple sites, and develop high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across four UK Service Centres.
  • Drive operational improvements that increase productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Improve production performance and reduce operational cycle times.
  • Standardise processes and embed best practice across all locations.
  • Lead, develop and coach operational managers, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Production, Transport and Client Support functions, ensuring operational and customer service KPIs are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage operational budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to support business growth and deliver strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Development to support fleet investment and continuous product improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • A background in heavy engineering, industrial manufacturing, production or a similar operational environment.
  • Proven experience leading multi-site operations.
  • Strong manufacturing or production operations experience (essential).
  • A track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leading organisational change and engaging teams through transformation.
  • The ability to develop leaders and create accountability across operational teams.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering measurable operational efficiencies.

Experience within logistics, fleet or warehousing would be advantageous but should be supported by a strong manufacturing or production background.
