Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be based within the Machine Dept. We always aim to have a cross-functional team, so working across all the areas of the Machine Shop will be required and daily tasks will be dependent on workload.

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Panel assembly & lagging; assemble panels/doors for our bespoke AHU units and apply the required insulation as per technical specifications
  • Use of guillotine (training will be provided)
  • Operating punch centre (training will be provided)
  • Tool handling; use of basic hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks
  • Quality control; inspect components before they move to the next stage of manufacture to ensure they comply with our quality standards
  • Documentation; complete production records and report any defects or issues promptly
  • Collaboration; work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Safety compliance; follow all H&S guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe machine operation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience using basic hand tools is essential
  • Experience with punch centres/press brakes is preferred
  • Experience within an AHU manufacturing environment is preferable
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process
