Overview
In this role, you will lead the UK PRA strategy and execution to secure optimal market access for Moderna’s portfolio. You will work with cross-functional teams to align pricing, reimbursement, and stakeholder engagement with UK health policy and HTA processes. You’ll translate clinical and economic evidence into access solutions, negotiating with UK authorities and shaping external-facing strategy. This is a high-impact role at a fast-growing company, offering strategic influence across vaccines, rare diseases and oncology. You’ll partner with local and global teams to drive patient access and business growth in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Lead UK PRA strategy and agenda in collaboration with local and global teams
- Coordinate with Regulatory, Medical, Communications, External Affairs and Marketing to integrate Market Access into the UK strategy
- Mentor Health Economic Outcomes Research Manager and support evidence for reimbursement and pricing submissions
- Design access and outcomes studies to strengthen Moderna’s value proposition
- Lead pricing and reimbursement negotiations with UKHSA and navigate HTA and pricing dynamics
- Prepare robust business cases for access, pricing and reimbursement approvals
- Engage with UK experts and stakeholders across government and Public Health to build relationships
- Ensure customer and stakeholder insights inform strategy, evidence, and execution
- Identify opportunities to demonstrate leadership in external forums on vaccine access and deployment
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to align public policy goals and engage policymakers and advocacy groups
- Strengthen relationships with Department of Health and Social Care and UKHSA
- Work with cross-functional partners to provide insights on economic and reimbursement issues
- Manage complex projects and third parties under tight deadlines and evolving external conditions
- Apply sound business judgment and ethics in strategic decisions
- Communicate market access topics effectively to diverse audiences
- Adopt an entrepreneurial approach to shaping the UK environment for Moderna’s portfolio
- Explore Generative AI tools to accelerate insight and improve strategy work within governance controls
Key requirements
- Tertiary degree in Economics, Sciences or Pharmacy; or postgraduate degree in Health Economics or Business
- Experience in UK Market Access in biotech/pharma, vaccines is advantageous
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills; experience with cross-functional partners
- Excellent understanding of the UK healthcare ecosystem, HTA processes and pricing dynamics for vaccines and therapeutics
- Established or strong relationships with Department of Health and Social Care and Health Security Agency
- Proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences via presentations and written materials
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and ambiguity
- Project management experience with complex projects and third parties
- Strong ethical standards and sound business judgment
