The Role: As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inbound enquiries from both customers and our Account Managers. Based out of our Hitchin office, the majority of your day will be spent speaking to customers about their IT / Communications needs, providing them with simple, straightforward advice and information on how Modern Networks can support them. Main activities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for commercial property customer and vendor enquiries by phone and email
- Support Account Managers to deliver a first-class customer experience by handing the behind-the-scenes operational work; creating accurate quotes, coordinating with finance / supply chain / operations colleagues, tracking SLA’s / delivery timelines and escalations
- Respond to pricing and product enquiries efficiently and accurately (same day response), coordinating with internal stakeholders as required.
- Engaging with customers to provide advice on their services and upselling any additional products and services.
- Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

- Proven experience in an internal sales, sales support, or customer service role.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing and quotation processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with customers and colleagues.
- Confident, professional telephone manner.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated and ambitious individual with an appetite to learn and progress.
