Who we are: Established in 1999, Modern Networks are the leading specialist provider of managed IT and Telecoms services to the specific sector markets. This role sits within our independent Internet Service Provider (ISP) and works with customers all over the UK providing a range of IT, connectivity, telephony and security services. The ISP unit primarily serves the needs of our science parks customers and provides the ISP core network all Modern Networks connectivity customers rely on.
The Role: The 1st Line ISP Support Engineer is the first technical point of contact for ISP and Parks customers. You will respond to incidents, service requests, and monitoring alerts relating to connectivity, CPE, core ISP services, and park edge networks. You will be providing both remote troubleshooting and hands-on field support. This includes attending customer sites for Priority 1 incidents, service impacting outages, router swaps, circuit turn ups, and planned maintenance activities. You will take ownership of tickets from logging through to resolution or escalation, ensuring clear communication and accurate updates throughout.
