The Job Role:

  • Developing a good understanding of their products
  • Quoting prices, quantities of stock, specifications of the products ordered and delivery times
  • Liaise with existing clients and build a strong working relationship across a niche industry sector
  • Operate a business-to-business marketplace, selling products mainly to engineering and manufacturing companies for reliable delivery and quantity of stock which is cut to size/weight
  • Handle complaints or objections
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets

Experience/Requirements:

  • Experience/knowledge of steel and measurements is essential
  • Knowledge of the engineering/manufacturing industry would be beneficial
  • An ability to grow knowledge and understanding of the products
  • Ability to understand a varied client base and their needs
  • Confidence when working with mathematical calculations (offering quotes based on price per kilo)
  • Great telephone manner and enjoys working on the phone
