The Job Role:
- Developing a good understanding of their products
- Quoting prices, quantities of stock, specifications of the products ordered and delivery times
- Liaise with existing clients and build a strong working relationship across a niche industry sector
- Operate a business-to-business marketplace, selling products mainly to engineering and manufacturing companies for reliable delivery and quantity of stock which is cut to size/weight
- Handle complaints or objections
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
Experience/Requirements:
- Experience/knowledge of steel and measurements is essential
- Knowledge of the engineering/manufacturing industry would be beneficial
- An ability to grow knowledge and understanding of the products
- Ability to understand a varied client base and their needs
- Confidence when working with mathematical calculations (offering quotes based on price per kilo)
- Great telephone manner and enjoys working on the phone
