Mode Search is exclusively supporting a design-led homeware and lifestyle brand in their search for a Senior Designer. This is an exciting opportunity with clear progression to Creative Director for the right candidate. This is a pivotal moment for the business as it continues to scale at pace, and they are seeking a creative, committed individual to be part of this next chapter.
The position is based full-time at the brand’s West London studio and head office. This is an on-site role, five days a week, with no hybrid working option. The role reports directly to the Operations Director, who is transitioning into the CEO role. Candidates must be comfortable with the in-person requirement before any conversations are arranged.
The Role
- Lead the design direction across all collections, collaborating closely with the wider team on product development
- Oversee the full creative process from concept through to final product and packaging
- Design both own-brand products and collaborate on curated pieces sourced internationally
- Translate seasonal themes and brand values into cohesive product stories
- Create high-quality visual presentations and design assets using Adobe Creative Suite
- Work on both 2D and (ideally) 3D applications for product visualisation and development
- Liaise with production, marketing, and wholesale teams to ensure consistency across channels
- Support brand expansion with design thinking aligned to commercial goals, particularly across the US and APAC markets
- Bring newness and innovation to the brand’s core linen offering, while expanding the product mix across tableware and homeware
- Take ownership of the creative output of the brand, stepping into a more senior role over time
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior-level design role within homeware, fashion, or lifestyle
- Full proficiency in Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote essential
- Experience with 2D design and ideally some 3D applications
- Excellent eye for colour, materials, and storytelling through product
- Comfortable working at pace and within a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
- Adaptable and flexible with a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Friendly and approachable with a strong work ethic – culture fit is crucial
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of creative output
- Strong understanding of product development processes from concept to delivery
