Mode Search is exclusively partnered with a prestigious luxury brand in their search for a Production Gerber Pattern Cutter. This beautiful luxury womenswear label has become known in the industry as the epitome of modern femininity. The British brand offers both RTW and a bespoke couture. This role plays a critical part in the development and production process, ensuring patterns are finalized to meet the highest standards of fit and specification. The Production Gerber Pattern Cutter will work across multiple product categories and seasons, collaborating closely with designers, garment technologists, and machinists to ensure all patterns are executed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Confidently work with blocks to maintain consistent sizing and fit across all product categories.
- Ensure all sealed patterns meet the required fit and measurement standards.
- Apply creative pattern cutting techniques, from initial block development to refining show patterns for production.
- Make necessary final pattern adjustments before sealing for bulk production.
- Accurately record and update all pattern measurements in the spec sheet.
- Complete and approve grade charts for production.
- Collaborate with external graders, providing key style information and offering assistance as needed.
- Coordinate with the Production and QC teams to address any pattern-related production issues.
Requirements:
- Gerber-trained with a minimum of 5 years' experience in womenswear multi-product pattern making, preferably in a luxury RTW studio.
- Deep understanding of fit and garment construction from both development and factory perspectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adhering to production critical paths and meeting strict deadlines.
- Adaptability during peak periods to effectively balance workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of grading principles and grading increments.
