The role

  • Partner with the Store Director to drive sales performance and deliver against the store’s commercial objectives.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies across different product categories and client segments, identifying opportunities to grow both existing and new business.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with VIP and high-value clients, delivering a highly personalised approach to clienteling.
  • Analyse daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, translating performance data and trading insights into clear and actionable commercial plans.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, leading by example and actively contributing to sales and client engagement.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of the store team.
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective targets, using regular meetings, feedback and development plans to support performance.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performing store culture where expectations are clear, ideas are encouraged and achievements are recognised.
  • Empower the team to deliver an exceptional standard of service and confidently manage more complex client requirements or situations.
  • Oversee stock levels and inventory accuracy, ensuring the product mix reflects client demand, sales performance and trading trends.
  • Maintain exceptional visual merchandising, housekeeping and store presentation standards at all times.
  • Support the effective day-to-day operation of the store, including cost control, administration and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and contribute to sales reporting and business reviews, providing commercial insights and recommendations to improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement relevant local marketing, clienteling and promotional initiatives to generate traffic and create new opportunities for engagement.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business within the local market, building relationships and developing opportunities to attract new clientele.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local luxury retail landscape, including competitor activity, client behaviour and wider market trends.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver shared objectives and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within luxury retail, ideally gained within fine jewellery or a closely related luxury category.
  • A strong understanding of the luxury jewellery market, alongside a genuine interest in the product and sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering strong sales results within a premium or luxury store environment; flagship store experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience supporting, coaching and developing a retail sales team.
  • A commercially minded approach with the ability to interpret KPIs, identify opportunities and translate insights into effective actions.
  • Strong clienteling capabilities, with experience developing long-term relationships with VIP and high-value customers.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and identify new opportunities to drive the business forward.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, influence others and inspire confidence.
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to contribute positively to a high-performing, team-focused culture.
  • A creative and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge established ways of working and explore new opportunities.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong planning skills and the ability to balance commercial, operational and people priorities.
  • Energetic, dynamic and results-driven, with strong emotional intelligence and a sophisticated approach to luxury client service.
  • Strong selling and influencing skills, combined with sound commercial and business judgement.
  • Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken. Additional languages, including Chinese, Arabic or Russian, would be advantageous.
