This brand is experiencing rapid growth, offering excellent career progression opportunities. This role reports to the Transportation Manager, overseeing all upstream logistics. It is responsible for managing the movement of goods from the factory to the warehouse, ensuring efficiency in dispatches and deliveries. The Upstream Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the inbound supply chain processes, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee all finished goods upstream shipments via air and road freight, ensuring prompt dispatch and tracking through to delivery into the Distribution Centre (DC).
- Assist the Transportation Manager in selecting optimal transport methods to improve cost efficiency and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with warehouses to facilitate the efficient receipt, quality inspection, and storage of goods.
- Manage and process shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Maintain precise records of all logistics activities and update internal systems accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to transportation regulations and full compliance with company policies.
- Oversee daily shipments of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
- Address and resolve any shipping or customs-related issues swiftly and effectively.
- Manage ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) creation and track shipments in Zedonk.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the Luxury or FMCG industry.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with an analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems).
