Job Description

Mode Search is partnering with a distinguished luxury homewares brand to support the search for an accomplished International Wholesale Director. This is a unique opportunity to shape and scale the brand’s global presence within the premium retail and lifestyle market.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in London, reporting directly to the CEO/Creative Director and the Operations Director. The role requires frequent international travel to support wholesale growth and maintain strategic partner relationships.

The position offers a generous commission scheme.

The Role

  • Define and execute a global wholesale strategy aligned with company growth plans
  • Lead the acquisition of new international accounts through strategic outreach and market analysis
  • Build and nurture relationships with global retail partners to drive account growth and maximise sell-through
  • Oversee the end-to-end wholesale process including order management, payments, and deliveries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—production, operations, design—to ensure delivery timelines and product availability
  • Provide commercial feedback to internal teams based on client insights and regional trends
  • Present key wholesale performance updates and reporting to the senior leadership team
  • Maintain brand integrity across all global retail touchpoints, including online partner platforms

Requirements

  • Proven experience (minimum 4–5 years) in an international wholesale leadership role within a luxury lifestyle or homewares brand
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of building and growing global wholesale channels
  • Excellent relationship management skills with senior retail buyers and distributors
  • High-level commercial awareness and confidence in managing P&L and data-led reporting
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and financial planning skills
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to international markets
  • Existing relationships within the premium homewares or lifestyle retail sector would be highly beneficial
