Mode Search is supporting a leading luxury fashion house in the search for an In-Store Training Manager. This is a newly created role focused on elevating retail performance through coaching, training, and development, while enhancing the overall client experience and team capability across the store. The brand is globally recognised for its forward-thinking approach to fashion, combining heritage craftsmanship with innovation and creativity.

The position is based in-store within a fast-paced, client-focused luxury retail environment. The In-Store Training Manager reports to the Store Director or Deputy Store Director (depending on location), with a dotted line into the Head Office training team, and works closely with retail leadership and cross-functional teams.

Role
  • Deliver and implement in-store training programmes aligned with global and local priorities
  • Promote a strong coaching culture through observation, feedback, and on-floor support
  • Partner with store leadership to develop team performance and individual capabilities
  • Identify training needs and create tailored development plans
  • Support and enhance the client journey, focusing on conversion, clienteling, and service excellence
  • Lead daily briefings, coaching sessions, and best practice sharing
  • Collaborate with CRM, merchandising, and events teams on training initiatives
  • Conduct performance and skills gap analysis across the team
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to support individual growth
  • Support onboarding and induction of new team members
  • Drive engagement with digital training tools and self-learning culture
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment with Head Office training teams
Requirements
  • Previous experience in retail training
  • Background in premium or luxury retail, ideally within fashion or lifestyle
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, clienteling, and retail performance
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Highly organised with a proactive approach
  • Strong presence on the shop floor with a hands-on mindset
  • Passion for people development, training, and client experience
  • Flexible with shifts in a retail environment
