Head of Production / Production Manager - Contemporary Footwear & Clothing Brand

Mode Search is proud to be working with an innovative, design-led contemporary fashion brand based in London, known for its commitment to quality, creativity, and responsible production. We are hiring for a Head of Production / Production Manager to lead the brand’s growing production operations across both footwear and ready-to-wear.

This is a hybrid role working 3 / 4 days in the office and 1 / 2 from home.

This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about product, process, and sustainability, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a pivotal role in the brand’s next phase of growth.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full production cycle across apparel and footwear, from initial development through to final delivery. Working closely with design, technical, and merchandising teams, you will ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective production across global supply chains.

You will manage supplier relationships, optimise critical paths, and implement processes that support the brand’s ambitious sustainability goals and continued global expansion.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end production across both clothing and footwear categories.
• Oversee the full production calendar and ensure all deadlines and delivery windows are met.
• Liaise with suppliers and factories internationally (including Europe and Asia), ensuring quality, compliance, and ethical standards are upheld.
• Monitor and negotiate costings, ensuring margin targets are achieved without compromising on quality.
• Lead raw material sourcing and fabric ordering in alignment with design and development teams.
• Implement and improve production systems and reporting to support scalability and efficiency.
• Manage production budget and monitor financial performance against targets.
• Collaborate closely with technical, design, and merchandising teams to ensure smooth workflow from development through to bulk.
• Troubleshoot production issues and delays with agility and problem-solving mindset.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior production role within footwear, ideally with exposure to both footwear and RTW.
• Strong global supplier and factory knowledge, with a solid understanding of sourcing, costings, lead times, and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple critical paths across product types and categories.
• Proactive, highly organised and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Commercial acumen and a collaborative approach to working across departments.
• Passion for contemporary fashion and product excellence.
