Global Product Compliance Specialist – Luxury Menswear Brand - 12-month Maternity Cover Contract

Mode Search is supporting a luxury fashion brand with the search for a Product Compliance Specialist to join its Quality and Standards function. The position will focus on supporting established product compliance processes, coordinating testing requirements and ensuring all relevant certification and documentation is accurately maintained.

The role is based in London and will report directly to the Quality & Standards Director. This is a 12-month contract operating on a hybrid basis, with four days per week in the office and one day working from home. The business already has comprehensive group compliance frameworks and procedures in place, meaning the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for implementing and managing existing processes rather than developing compliance structures from the ground up.

The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as possible, ideally no later than January 2027.

The role

• Coordinate product testing, certification and associated compliance requirements across relevant product categories.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to obtain and maintain required compliance documentation.
• Monitor testing schedules, results and outstanding product compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records relating to product testing, certification and regulatory documentation.
• Partner with Product Development, Quality and Production teams to ensure compliance requirements are understood and followed throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support the implementation of established group compliance procedures and standards.
• Follow up on testing failures, documentation gaps or other compliance-related issues with internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure relevant information is communicated clearly and efficiently across key stakeholders.
• Support the Quality & Standards Director with the ongoing management of product compliance activity.

Requirements

• Approximately 3–5 years' experience within product compliance, quality assurance, product testing, product development or a related function.
• Previous experience in a dedicated Product Compliance position is not essential.
• Exposure to product testing, certification processes and supplier compliance documentation.
• Experience working directly with suppliers, factories or manufacturing partners.
• Strong understanding of product development, quality or production processes within a product-led business.
• Candidates from luxury, premium or comparable product environments will be considered.
• Experience within Quality Assurance or Product Development would be particularly relevant where responsibilities have included testing and compliance activity.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation, testing timelines and multiple compliance requirements simultaneously.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling technical and regulatory information.
• Suitable for someone looking to further develop their career and expertise within product compliance.
