Mode Search is supporting a globally recognised fashion house in their search for a Department Manager for a new location they are opening in London. This brand's innovative craftsmanship is ingrained in their collections ranging from men’s and women’s contemporary ready-to-wear, accessories, and exquisite leather goods. This brand’s reputation is cemented within the fashion industry with its customer loyalty and celebrity following. They are currently performing extremely well in the market and can offer excellent growth and progression opportunities.
This role requires a manager with strong people management skills, as well as extensive luxury clientelling experience. It is the perfect opportunity for the next step within the luxury retail sector.
The Role- Lead by example and educate the staff about customer service standards.
- Promote loss prevention and safety through customer service and established policies and procedures in partnership with store leadership (management) team to guarantee employee and customer safety.
- Handle customer questions and queries.
- Organise and distribute the team’s work, set priorities, and keep an overview of the tasks to be accomplished.
- Support the team on the shop floor when needed, especially during peak selling times.
- Manage, recruit, onboard, train, and develop the team and keep an overview of succession planning.
- Consistently oversee replenishment of all departments to ensure full inventory on the shop floor.
- Maintain shop floor standards by ensuring product care daily.
- Execute reductions, transfers, and campaign set-ups according to brand guidelines.
- Maximise sales through joint operational and commercial focus.
- Ensure garment presentation, garment level, and visual standards are presented according to expectations.
- Plan and coordinate all campaign set-ups, activities, and promotions together with the visual team and the Store Manager.
- Create a positive and motivating team environment and maintain an overview of Employee Relations concerns in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Achieve and/or Exceed Sales Plan: Partner with the Sales Manager to create, communicate, and Clienteling/Service Excellence.
- Manager to lead and champion team in executing consistent and superior sales and service delivery to increase and retain customer loyalty.
- Demonstrate dynamic, attentive, and inspiring leadership with strong relationship-building skills with internal and external clients while setting expectations for unsurpassed customer service.
- Min 5 years experience within the luxury retail industry in management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solver focused on developing soft skills within your team.
- Strong communicator, who can work at pace and make clear compliant decisions.
