Mode Search are partnering with a globally recognised luxury retail house in their search for a Global Senior HR Business partner to join their UK team for a maternity cover. This is a key appointment supporting both Head Office functions and retail locations across London. The role sits within a well-established HR structure and will play a critical part in delivering people strategy, leading on complex Employee Relations, and supporting business performance across multiple areas.
The successful candidate will be highly autonomous, organised, and confident operating in a fast-paced, high-touch environment, with the ability to partner senior stakeholders while also supporting and guiding more junior HR team members. Please note: this role is maternity cover and is fully office-based (5 days per week).
- Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to Head Office and retail leadership teams across multiple locations
- Lead on complex Employee Relations cases, providing expert guidance on conduct, performance, and organisational matters
- Support and mentor junior HR team members, ensuring consistency and quality across HR delivery
- Drive performance management, organisational effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure all HR practices are compliant with UK employment legislation and internal policies
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR team including Talent, Advisors, and Coordinators
- Contribute to ongoing HR projects and initiatives across the UK business
Proven experience as a HRBP within a complex organisation. Strong Employee Relations expertise, with confidence managing high-risk and sensitive cases independently. Experience supporting both corporate (Head Office) and retail environments advantageous. Experience mentoring or supporting more junior HR team members. Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
