Mode Search are partnering with a global luxury retailer in their search for a Digital Merchandiser to join their Ecommerce team, based full time at their London HQ. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical digital merchandising professional, combining elements of buying and merchandising to optimise online product performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting products for the website, ensuring strong online presentation, and driving performance through reporting, insights and commercial optimisation.
The Role:
- Manage the daily online product offer and ensure the best possible customer journey across site navigation and editorial pages
- Support product selection and online assortment planning, working closely with merchandising and wider retail teams
- Upload and maintain product content and online listings, ensuring accuracy across descriptions, categories and imagery
- Own pricing checks and conversions, ensuring alignment with strategy and trading requirements
- Monitor and troubleshoot product/content issues, reporting bugs and managing correction requests across the site
- Track online performance across key metrics (sales, traffic, conversion, return rate etc.) with regular reporting and actionable insight
- Partner with internal teams to ensure stock and depth of offer remains aligned to demand and commercial priorities
- Review competitor activity and market trends to support ongoing improvements and best practice
- Work cross-functionally with HQ teams and wider digital partners to ensure delivery against the ecommerce strategy
Requirements:
- Experience in a digital merchandising or ecommerce trading role, ideally within luxury / premium retail
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills essential
- Comfortable producing reporting and translating data into commercial actions
- Experience balancing product selection with merchandising / trading priorities (buying exposure beneficial)
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised and able to work at pace
- Confident working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
- ATS / systems experience beneficial
