Mode Executive is delighted to be supporting a leading premium fashion retail organisation in the search for an experienced HR Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‐thinking, people‐driven business at a pivotal moment of growth and transformation.
The HR Director will report directly to Global HRD and will play a key role in shaping the organisation's people strategy and culture as part of the wider leadership team.
Role
Lead the development and delivery of the people strategy aligned with overall business objectives
Partner closely with the leadership team to drive organisational effectiveness and long‐term talent planning
Oversee all areas of HR including employee relations, performance management, learning & development, reward, and organisational design
Act as a trusted advisor to the Global HRD and senior stakeholders on all strategic people matters
Foster a high‐performance culture that supports engagement, wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion
Lead and develop the HR team, ensuring best practice, innovation, and compliance across all HR functions
Provide guidance on change management initiatives, organisational development, and succession planning
Requirements
Proven experience as a senior HR leader, ideally at Head of or Director level, within a complex, fast‐paced retail organisation
Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable people initiatives
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level
Track record of driving cultural change and embedding values across an organisation
Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Experience leading teams and delivering through others
Strong business acumen, resilience, and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands‐on execution
This role operates on a hybrid model with two to three days a week in the office and the remainder from home, plus a highly competitive package.
