Why this role? This is more than a typical graduate role - you’ll be working across a diverse international portfolio of 20+ businesses, gaining exposure to multiple markets, industries, and financial models from day one. You’ll work closely with experienced finance leaders including the Corporate Reporting Controller, Portfolio Accountant, and Portfolio CFO, learning how financial reporting works in a global, publicly listed environment.

  • A clear pathway to progression - with opportunities to move into senior roles within 3-4 years
  • The chance to work with modern finance systems (NetSuite, Adaptive, Blackline)

What you’ll be doing: You’ll build your experience across core finance areas, including:

  • Supporting the Europe/AMEA Finance Team in delivering accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for a portfolio of businesses operating across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia
  • Gaining hands‑on experience in financial accounting activities, including accounts payable, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journal postings and invoicing processes
  • Assisting with financial control activities to ensure compliance with internal controls, group reporting requirements and accounting standards within a publicly listed company environment
  • Supporting the review and analysis of key financial information submitted by business units, helping to ensure accuracy, consistency and timely reporting across the portfolio
  • Learning and applying technical accounting principles, including supporting revenue recognition reviews and other financial compliance processes
  • Working closely with finance teams across multiple countries, building relationships and supporting business units with reporting requirements, reconciliations and finance system queries
  • Providing administrative support for key finance systems, including NetSuite, Adaptive Planning and BlackLine, while developing a strong understanding of finance processes and reporting tools
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives and helping to enhance financial systems, controls and reporting practices across the portfolio
  • Collaborating with experienced finance professionals, including the Corporate Reporting Controller, Portfolio Accountant and Portfolio CFO, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting, reporting and commercial finance activities

What we’re looking for: We’re looking for graduates who are motivated, curious, and ready to learn:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or similar
  • Strong academic performance (ideally 2:1 or above)
  • Strong numerical and analytical mindset
  • Good Excel skills (or willingness to develop quickly)
  • A genuine interest in building a career in finance
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Who will thrive here? You’ll enjoy this role if you:

  • Enjoy learning in a fast‑paced, international environment
  • Are curious, adaptable, and open to new challenges
  • Want to take ownership early in your career
  • Are motivated by long‑term career progression

Location & flexibility: Hybrid role - initially 3 days per week in Chippenham. Opportunity for international travel and exposure.

Why Modaxo? Modaxo is a global technology group supporting public transport systems worldwide, operating across 40+ countries and multiple businesses.
