European Corporate Reporting Controller Hybrid | Chippenham, UK (1 day per week)

Are you an experienced Corporate Reporting or FP&A leader looking to step into a highly visible international finance leadership role? At Modaxo, our software and technology solutions help move an estimated 500 million people every day through public transport networks across the world. Following an internal promotion, we are seeking a European Corporate Reporting Controller to join our Europe & AMEA Finance Leadership Team. A key member of the Modaxo Europe Portfolio Team, you will lead the Portfolio Reporting Team. You will also work closely with the Modaxo WW Reporting Team. The team is responsible for ensuring all Financial Reporting required for both Modaxo WW/Constellation Software and the Portfolio COO is provided accurately and timely.

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Portfolio CFO, you'll lead the Portfolio Reporting Team and play a key role in forecasting, financial reporting, business partnering, systems development and strategic financial analysis across a portfolio of 20 Business Units spanning Europe and AMEA. You will also lead and develop a team of three finance professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality reporting, technical accounting support and continuous process improvement across the portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the quarterly forecasting process across a portfolio of 20 Business Units spanning Europe and AMEA, partnering with Finance Managers and senior leaders to drive forecasting accuracy and performance insights.
  • Owning and developing the Workday Adaptive Planning platform, becoming the subject matter expert and supporting Finance teams with forecasting best practices, training and continuous improvement.
  • Delivering high-quality monthly and quarterly reporting to Portfolio leadership, Modaxo Worldwide and Constellation Software stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely submissions.
  • Providing meaningful financial analysis and performance insights, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities to improve business performance across the portfolio.
  • Building trusted relationships with Business Unit leadership teams, acting as a key business partner to support growth, operational improvement and decision-making.
  • Leading and developing a small team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning and high performance.
  • Driving reporting innovation through enhanced use of systems, including optimization of our reporting from ERP NetSuite, notably by the use of AI and BI tools.
  • Supporting the Portfolio CFO with acquisition analysis, investment evaluations, IRR assessments and strategic financial projects.
  • Helping to standardise financial processes, strengthen internal controls and promote best practice across a diverse international portfolio.
  • Collaborating closely with global finance teams, senior executives and business leaders across multiple countries and cultures.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, FP&A, business partnering or corporate finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and planning tools.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders.
