Job Purpose: The role involves overseeing the implementation of the Netsuite Finance ERP system globally. The project is already well underway and is now ready to benefit from global coordination and best practice. There will notably be liaison with key NetSuite leaders in Europe and North America to ensure consistency of set ups and approach across the Netsuite Instance and to provide advice on implementations as required, anywhere in the world. Central processes will be developed to meet the requirements of all Portfolios.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with external partners who assist in the implementation and management of the system.
- This role involves some travel globally, approximately 1-2 times per quarter. This role is remote based in the UK or Ireland.
- Review the NetSuite set-up of the existing Live Legal Entities and look for opportunities to standardise the way we work.
- Prepare standard procedure documentation that can be used and modified to local needs in each Business Unit.
- Document and implement central processes for management of Netsuite, such as monthly and quarterly close routines, inter-company, FX, attrition reporting, etc.
- Configure workflows and troubleshoot issues within finance applications, reports, and templates for use across Business Units.
- Maintain interface to Corporate Consolidation Tool.
- As a super-user, provide training to other NetSuite users.
- Advise users on Best Practice, propose solutions, and advice on other Netsuite modules or add-ons that could add value, improving efficiency and/or better reporting.
- Work with the Finance Teams to resolve day-to-day problems and liaise with Netsuite as required.
- Ensure control of the Chart of Accounts is maintained while working with the Portfolio teams.
- Participate in the Steering Committee (both internal and with Netsuite and/or other Partners).
- Provide proactive advice on areas for improvement or development.
- Advise on Integration of new acquisitions, particularly on accounting issues.
- Support Compliance and audit activities by ensuring proper controls and documentation are maintained.
- Provide support to Netsuite Users and manage tickets.
Implementations:
- Aim for all/most Legal Entities to be LIVE on Netsuite by the end of 2026.
- Aim to implement Netsuite in any new acquisition within 6 months of acquisition.
- Aim to reduce dependence on external partners for these implementations, build core competence in new implementations, streamline and automate as many processes as possible.
- Partner with the Local Finance Teams to track and oversee the implementation and advise on NetSuite best practice.
Other: Whilst this position is focused on Netsuite, there could be a requirement going forward to work on other system implementations and integrations for Finance.
Personal Specification:
- Extensive experience of implementing Netsuite ERP in Business Units.
- Knowledge of other financial systems is an advantage, especially Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Good financial accounting understanding.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Project management skills, qualification and/or experience are an advantage.
- Hands-on approach – able to operate at a senior, advisory level; but also prepared to roll up sleeves and jump in where appropriate to maximise progress.
- Self-starter, ability to build trust relationships with other members of the Finance and IT teams in a virtual environment.
