Job Summary
Modality Partnership Birmingham Division is seeking part‑time, dedicated and compassionate General Practitioners for up to 8 sessions per week across several sites within the Division. Job Responsibilities
The role is patient‑centred and delivered from your nominated practice site. The postholder must confidently evidence key skills such as excellent verbal and written communication, clinical skills and empowering patients to manage their individual health conditions. Duties include:
- Providing patient care through regular appointments and home visits
- Managing general administration for patient care
- Collaborating with the local practice team and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care
- Embracing the partnership values of Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence (CARE)

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- GMC registration
- CCST for primary care in the UK
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- On the UK performers list for primary care
- Current valid driving licence / access to a car
- MRCGP (desirable)
Skills (Essential)
- IT skills – competent use of MS Office and basic IT software
- Experience using a primary care clinical software system, preferably SystmOne and other remote consultation technology
- Ability to problem‑solve to enable effective remote working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time management
Knowledge (Essential)
- Eligible to practice independently as a GP in the UK
- Full GMC registration to practice as a GP
- Entry on the Medical Performers List
- Good understanding of the transforming landscape of primary care, new roles and the value of multi‑professional teams
- General understanding of the GMS contract, QOF and GP commissioning
- Understanding of Patient Choice
