We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and experienced Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join Enki Medical Centre on a part-time basis (25-30 hours per week). This is far more than a traditional nursing role; you will play a vital part in the demonstration of specialist competence, innovation and clinical leadership in the assessment, intervention in and delivery of general practice nursing in all contexts appropriate to individuals' needs, across all ages for the general practice population. They will specialise in Diabetes and will work to help and support patients who are diagnosed with Diabetes.

Main duties of the job
This role focuses on the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients to assess, review and support patients who are diabetic. You will use your clinical expertise and professional judgement to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate treatment programmes that promote health and well-being. Working innovatively and flexibly, you will contribute to service improvement and support the effective delivery of care across the practice. The role requires commitment, adaptability, and the ability to work resourcefully as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, effective and timely care in line with our CARE values.

- Vaccinations: Mandatory vaccination evidence is required for this role, including Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella.

Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification with a minimum of two years post-registration experience.
- At least one year of experience in General Practice or community nursing.
- Experience implementing clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Experience in audit activity and quality improvement initiatives.
- Clinical supervision training and experience.
