What are we looking for? The Senior Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations. Key duties include managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports for the CFO and investors, managing payroll and sales bonus schemes, managing audits and implementing internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for preparing timely month-end financial reporting within Netsuite – Netsuite experience is an essential requirement
- Detailed monthly review of revenue to ensure accuracy
- Maintain movements in Annual Recurring Revenue and reconciliation to revenue
- Oversee the preparation of monthly reforecasts collaborating with CFO and Executive on changes in the sales pipeline and cost base
- Management of full month-end process and production of management accounts
- Preparation of monthly board reporting in collaboration with the CFO
- Oversee the monthly reporting and submission to two PE houses and Bank
- Line Management of Finance Business Partner & Snr Financial Transactions Manager
- Process payroll and liaise with HR to ensure processing of starters, leavers and other payroll changes
- Oversee the administration of Netsuite, Docusign and Finance systems Concur
- Liaise with third party tax advisors to calculate and submit adhoc tax reporting including PSA liability and other corporate tax liabilities
- Responsibility for annual company audit and ensuring timely delivery of information to the auditors
- Manage movements in shareholder equity with support of third-party solicitors
- Oversee the legal contract population and support commercial team with procurement support
- Work closely with the commercial team, preparation of customer contracts with support from external legal department
- Oversee the customer contract database
- Oversee the Sales Bonus commission plans, tracking and payment of commissions
- Oversee the ISO27001 process
- Work with HR to maintain accurate headcount, open vacancy and cost to hire metrics
- Production of timely budget variance reporting to department heads
- Focus on efficiency and improvements to processes and reporting
- Working closely with the CFO to produce timely accurate and insightful reporting
- Keep up to date with technical accounting changes and monitor accounting policies and application
- Maintaining effective working capital management and cash control – rolling cash forecasting

- Leading, managing and inspiring the team to promote teamwork, continuous improvement and learning
- Coaching direct reports in appropriate leadership and management techniques
- Ensuring the appropriate application of HR policies and procedures in the department
- Agreeing and monitoring performance targets for direct reports

Qualifications and skills:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing a finance team
- 2+ years’ experience of working in an SME finance function (100-250 FTE)
- Experience of working with NetSuite - Essential
- Desirable: Experience of working in Private Equity, Experience of working in B2B SaaS/ Technology
