Junior Product Owner
Location: Manchester (Can be remote or hybrid)

Ideal skills: Understanding of product management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and circa 1-2 years in a Product role. Any exposure to Data or SAAS is also a distinct advantage.

Mobysoft delivers two market leading products, which help keep tenants housed in a home they can enjoy and simultaneously improves rent collection for the long term good of the organisation.

What are we looking for?
As a Junior Product Owner you will work closely with cross functional teams, including software engineering, design, sales, and customer success, helping deliver and feeding into the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our core platforms. Your role will involve understanding market trends, gathering customer requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery of high quality products that address the challenges faced by the social housing sector.
Customer satisfaction, supporting operational and revenue goals, and aligning with Mobysoft’s longer term business objectives for growth will be your guiding principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Existing product strategy and product strategy execution
- Go to market initiatives
- Product backlog maintenance
- Research: Partnering with UX in conducting and synthesising user research.
- Defining requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Cross functional Collaboration: Building trusted relationships with engineering and UX leads to ensure technical considerations are factored into product and design decisions.
- Balancing product goals and engineering constraint to enable clearly communicated, pragmatic trade offs.
- Coordinating with sales, marketing and customer success teams to ensure successful product launches and customer adoption.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product related inquiries.
- With stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements.
- Encouraging and promoting a culture of accountability and shared ownership across product and engineering.
Qualifications and skills
- Demonstrable skills and experience exercising critical thinking.
- Understanding of product management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Customer, user and market focused; willingness to get out of the office with travel in the UK to client sites
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- A strong collaborator with experience leading cross functional teams
- Demonstrates passion and enthusiasm for all things product and crucially, delivering success.
- Preferably: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or a business related field with 1+ years post graduate experience, ideally within a technology related field
- Or, equivalent experience.
