At Turning Point, we support people with learning disabilities across England. As a Team Manager, you’ll make a real difference by providing high‑quality, person‑centred services that help each of our service users achieve their full potential. Our Parkview service in Watford is a 24‑hour residential care home supporting six residents with mild, moderate and profound learning disabilities and complex needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop flexible and realistic support plans and risk assessments with individuals, families and other professionals.
  • Review support plans and risk assessments, liaise with health professionals, chair meetings, complete Mental Capacity Assessments, hold Best‑Interest meetings and submit DoLS applications.
  • Lead a team of Support Workers on shifts, allocating work, delegating tasks and line‑managing a support staff rota, sickness, supervisions and appraisals.
  • Manage performance issues, coach and mentor staff, and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the care sector, preferably supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and health issues.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to adapt quickly within busy and changeable environments.
  • Working knowledge of supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and health issues.
