Main Responsibilities
- Providing visible leadership to the team, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Direct line management of front‐line practitioners, including supervision every 4–6 weeks.
- Managing all HR‐related processes in line with HR policies.
- Managing a small caseload of service users, delivering 1:1 and group interventions.
- Ensuring high‐quality performance of staff and achievement of key performance indicators.
- Day‐to‐day operational oversight of the team.
- Ensuring service delivery meets commissioner expectations and the needs of People we Support.
- Managing incidents, ensuring learning is shared.
- Resolving concerns raised by People we Support and partner agencies.
- Ensuring the health and safety of staff and service users.
- Delivering an evidence‐based service, overseeing quality assurance and audit activity.
- Overseeing safeguarding activity.
- Developing partnerships across Turning Point and with local organisations to enhance service delivery.
- Representing the service at internal and external meetings.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstratable leadership skills with a flexible and adaptable style.
- In‐depth understanding of operational and performance management of the team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt to staff, commissioners, partners and people we support.
- Strong organisational, time‐management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and resilient in high‐pressure environments.
Desirable
- Previous experience managing a similar service or team.
- Management qualification or equivalent.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Starting £33,416, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands to £39,093 per year. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial salary.)
- Benefits: 25 days paid holiday per year + Bank Holidays, increasing to 27 days + Bank Holidays with each year of service. Option to buy additional holidays.
