An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Points Leicestershire and Rutland Substance Use Services as a Quality, Governance and Safeguarding Manager.

Role Responsibilities

  • The Quality, Governance and Safeguarding Manager will undertake tasks to support performance improvement at both individual and service level and continuously assess compliance against regulatory standards.
  • They will lead on mortality and morbidity processes ensuring compliance with CQC notifications; the individual will also lead on CQC readiness and preparation for CQC inspections.
  • The Quality, Governance & Safeguarding Manager will have oversight of safeguarding pathways including agreeing information sharing protocols; they will also have oversight of the services safeguarding practice and work to identify and support improvements in this area.
  • Management and oversight of the services audit cycle will form a key part of this role.
  • The individual will be expected to maintain and develop working links and partnerships with key departments and individuals and actively engage with both local and national forums.
  • They will also provide supervision and coaching of relevant roles within the service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will have experience of working within a health or social care setting and have knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • You will understand reporting and data and be able to use this to shape service and individual improvement.
  • Experience of working within a safeguarding/adult social care setting will be important and a qualification in social work will be of benefit to the candidate.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be confident working with other agencies/partners to identify learning and opportunities to improve.
  • The role has various responsibilities, so flexibility and the ability to work dynamically is essential.
  • We also look for candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who share our values as an organisation.
  • The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, efficient and organised and have a real passion for supporting the service to continuously improve.
  • You must be engaging, enthusiastic and passionate and have a keen interest in substance use support services.

Starting salary £36,200 with annual pay progression up to £42,349 (Dependent on experience you may be offered a salary above the initial starting salary).
