We have 3 exciting opportunities to join our services in Salford and Bolton where we provide 24‑hour supported living for adults with learning disabilities and additional health issues. As the Team Manager, you will have management responsibility for a team of 3 services, supporting approximately 9 people. We support people with daily living activities such as medication management, washing and dressing, and we pride ourselves on a strong focus on supporting people to set goals and achieve the outcomes they want. Your passion for making a difference not a profit will keep you motivated alongside like‑minded colleagues who believe in inspiring people to create positive change. Please note you must have experience in leading a team to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Inspire colleagues and create a culture that drives high‑quality support.
- Work within agreed financial and legislative frameworks, including roster management, weekly finance and medication checks, health and safety checks, and CQC compliance to keep people safe.
- Support and empower people to live more independently in their community, developing positive outcomes for those with autism, learning disabilities, complex physical or health needs.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Operate flexibly, including out‑of‑hours checks, coaching staff, and back‑filling when short of staff.
Ideal Candidate
Building on your experience with people with learning disabilities, you will set, maintain, and develop service standards. In this varied role, you will carry out risk assessments, implement support plans, and provide operational management.
Essential
- Demonstrable leadership skills with a flexible and adaptable style.
- In depth understanding and ability to performance‑manage team functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt to staff, commissioners/partners, and people we support.
- Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and resilient in high‑pressure environments.
Desirable
- Previous experience managing a similar service or team.
- Management qualification or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 4/5 qualification.
