We are looking for kind, patient and committed Support Workers to join a small, friendly team supporting a man with autism and epilepsy in his new home in Whitfield, Dover. He enjoys a variety of activities, including long countryside walks, visiting parks, eating out and relaxing with music. He values sensory play and appreciates a supportive, structured environment that encourages independence.

Shift Patterns
This is a 24‑hour service, requiring flexibility to cover a range of shifts including nights and some weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Support him with daily activities such as preparing meals, keeping his home clean and comfortable, and planning fun outings.
  • Promote his independence, help him develop life skills and personal interests, and support his overall wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal care, medication administration and ensure his safety at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records as part of high standards of care.

Ideal Candidate
You should be fit and active, patient, and understanding. You’ll follow his lead, reduce anxiety, and adhere to agreed rules and routines. Confidence in working independently while also collaborating with his friends, family and wider support team is essential.
