Global's Commercial Marketing team helps bring our brands, products and commercial opportunities to life for agencies and clients through events, activations and communication. The Trade Events Marketing Manager reports to the Commercial Marketing Lead, Events, Activations and Talent, supporting the Commercial Marketing leadership team in planning and hosting top‑tier Global‑owned events and activations for our Commercial audiences and in how we present at key industry events. This is a new role created to support an increased volume of trade activations and events as Global’s commercial proposition expands across Audio, Outdoor and Video. Although the role sits within the Audio & Entertainment Go-to‑Market team, you will also work across our Outdoor portfolio. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our marketing activations and events have an overarching plan, are delivered brilliantly, on time and with impact. The role is highly cross‑functional, working closely with the Commercial Marketing team, external events and industry bodies, and key internal stakeholders across Sales, Design, Communications and Product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Roadmap (25%)
    • Shape an events and activation plan that brings Global’s commercial story to life across Radio, Outdoor, Global Studios and DAX in a creative, clear and compelling way.
    • Create a clear plan to service different audience and market segments.
    • Support the Commercial Marketing Lead in communications and negotiations with external suppliers and events.
  • Project Management & Delivery (50%)
    • Own work streams or end‑to‑end activations – from brief to delivery – ensuring timelines, stakeholders and outputs stay on track.
    • Lead the planning and delivery of client‑facing events, hosted experiences, trade activity and internal Sales launches.
    • Work closely with Commercial Design, Communications, the wider Marketing and Sales teams to deliver joined‑up activity.
    • Manage multiple projects and work streams simultaneously, balancing deadlines, budgets and stakeholder feedback.
    • Support with securing and managing Talent at events.
  • Administration & Reporting (25%)
    • Conduct ROI analysis: agree clear objectives and success measures upfront, track campaign and event performance, and share commercial results and insights.
    • Proactively implement learnings from previous campaigns.
    • Support budget tracking, supplier management and general project administration as needed, including keeping a clear log of activity and progress to share with support teams (Legal, Finance).
    • Maintain an up‑to‑date Preferred Supplier List to improve efficiency.
    • Ensure activity is delivered to a high standard and in line with Global brand guidelines and processes.

  • Took ownership of key projects and delivered them smoothly from planning through to execution through excellent project management and communication.
  • Supported the creation of high‑quality B2B marketing content and events that engage clients and agencies.
  • Helped improve ways of working across planning, delivery and reporting.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in Commercial or Trade Marketing, B2B marketing or events.
  • Confidence in your project management skillset with outstanding organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience delivering events, activations or campaigns in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and last‑minute adjustments to the plan.
  • Strong written communication skills across presentations and event invites and comms.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with different points of view and keep projects moving at pace.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and confidence working with a range of teams and seniority levels.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, timelines, reporting and campaign administration.
  • A strong interest in media, advertising and how brands connect with audiences.
  • Experience across Radio, Outdoor, Podcasts, Video or Digital media is a bonus but not essential.
