How to prepare for a job interview at MOBOLISE

Know the Hotel Inside Out

Before your interview, take some time to research the hotel and its services. Familiarise yourself with their values and what makes them unique. This will help you demonstrate your genuine interest in the role and show that you're ready to provide that heartfelt experience they’re looking for.

Showcase Your Team Spirit

As a Night Porter, being a team player is crucial. Prepare examples of how you've worked well in teams before, especially in challenging situations. Highlight your positive attitude and willingness to learn, as these traits are key to fitting into their fun and inclusive environment.

Prepare for Safety Scenarios

Given the safety and security responsibilities of the role, think about potential scenarios you might face during your shift. Be ready to discuss how you would handle emergencies, such as a fire evacuation. This shows that you take the safety of guests and staff seriously.

Practice Customer Interaction

Since you'll be the first point of contact for late arrivals and handling complaints, practice your communication skills. Role-play common customer interactions with a friend or family member. This will help you feel more confident and articulate during the interview, ensuring you can convey that memorable experience they want for their guests.
