Your New Role: Digital Content Producer & Copywriter

Are you a digital content producer with a love of music, entertainment, news and more? Do you have a flair for copywriting, headlines and producing and making engaging social media content? If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where your written skills can be flexed as much as your social and audience skills, this role is for you.

As a Global Player Digital Content Producer and Copywriter, you will work across all touch points of our flagship audio and video app. This includes conceiving and creating social posts for the @GlobalPlayer handles, managing the editorial curation of content across the app and writing the copy we use for push notifications and more. You'll work closely with the Global Player team and connect with every facet of the company, from our national radio brands to our market leading podcast audio producers and the wider podcast digital team to create content that drives engagement, builds audience, and amplifies the impact of Global's slate of original podcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content curation and creation (50%): Create and curate engaging audio, video and written content for Global Player and its social channels, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and audience needs.
  • Copywriting for Global Player communications (30%): Create market-leading copy for push notifications, in-app messages, app store copy and other Global Player touchpoints that drive strong click-through rates and deliver a distinctive, engaging tone of voice.
  • Performance insight and optimisation (20%): Use analytics and audience insights to review performance, provide clear feedback to relevant teams and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and impact of content.

What You'll Need

  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. Priority platforms are Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Canva.
  • Experience in community management and audience engagement.
  • Analytical skills, you'll be able to track content performance and make recommendations back to wider production teams on a 24/7 basis.
  • Attention to detail: A meticulousness in ensuring every piece of content is of the highest standard.
