We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Trainee Commercial EPC Assessor to join our growing team in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the commercial property and energy efficiency sector. Full training and support will be provided to help you become an accredited non-domestic EPC assessor and progress within the company as part of our growth plans. We are also open to candidates transitioning from a different professional background, provided they demonstrate strong motivation to develop a new career as an accredited EPC assessor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Senior Energy Consultants with commercial Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments
- Carrying out site visits across the UK as necessary to commercial properties to collect accurate building data
- Surveying building fabric and building services (HVAC equipment, lighting, controls, etc.)
- Using approved software and 3D modelling tools to produce assessments
- Ensuring all work complies with current legislation and standards
- Producing high-quality, accurate reports within agreed timescales
- Maintaining professional communication with clients and internal teams
Training & Development
- Full training provided towards Commercial EPC Assessor accreditation
- Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced professionals
- Clear opportunities for career progression within the company
About You
- Previous experience in the property, construction, surveying, or building sector is desirable
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software is highly advantageous
- Strong computer skills, with confidence using specialist software and Microsoft Office
- University degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is desirable but not essential
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for site visits is desirable
- Based in London or within approximately one hour’s commute to facilitate regular office presence
