Responsibilities:
- As a Programme Manager you will be working at the heart of their digital endeavours, enhancing the online experience for the members and to build, improve and scale their cloud-native digital platform.
- Your primary goals will be to ensure the smooth delivery of key business-critical initiatives, grow your team’s capabilities and ensure organisational alignment in line with their technology and business strategies.
- Provide technical programme management and Agile delivery leadership, you’ll be the driving force and a key team enabler for successful delivery of a range of technology-driven initiatives.
- Balance cross-cutting standards of quality and reliability with delivering tangible value at a good cadence.
- Delivering stability and performance targets; ensuring the team always deliver on their performance and stability objectives.
- Guiding teams and delivery in an agile environment, and fostering team empowerment, encouraging teams to self-organise for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Champion an agile culture, where they continually inspect, adapt, and refine.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, with a particularly close partnership with the engineering team, product, delivery and the partner ecosystem.
- Planning and progress reporting to maintain transparency across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of technical project & programme management experience with a proven track record of successful delivery in an Agile framework. They will hold a good understanding of modern micro-service-based architecture & infrastructure principles, key patterns and key cloud concepts and tools. The ability to manage stakeholders, with a strong, approachable attitude and team spirit to encourage collaboration is crucial to the role. This role would suit those who have progressed from a hands-on technical role (such as software engineering or solution design) into an Agile Delivery position.
