About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, the job holder is responsible for supporting the MFS strategy of Sustainable Growth through seeking and implementing new opportunities and initiatives contributing to the commercial growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Identification of internal and external commercial growth opportunities for the business
- Completion of business plans to achieve Ex Comm/HQ sign off for new initiatives
- Leading of projects to implement new partnerships and initiatives
- Manage partners and third-party suppliers
- Lead the commercialisation of wholesale project
- Networking across industry and leveraging contacts to create opportunities
- Attending relevant industry conferences and events to extend network and gain industry insight
- Presenting and negotiating at senior level
- Influencing across multiple cross-departmental stakeholders
- Liaising with the relevant teams at Paris HQ where required
- Supporting the achievement of the commercial KPI’s for the Business Development department
- Representing the CBDO in committees and providing cover where necessary
- Responsible for completion and maintenance of the department RCSA and all risk management activities
- Ensure all Business Development activities are delivering good customer outcomes
- Maximise the efficiency of the department through automation and process improvement
- Chair the Business Development Commercial Touchpoint
- Knowledge and Skills
- Motor industry knowledge; financial services experience ideal
- Proven track record building new partnerships
- Desirable: asset finance experience (leisure, motorbike, converter)
- Project management leading strategic projects
- Excellent communication; able to present, influence and negotiate
- Emotional resilience
- Manages internal and external stakeholder commitments
- Highly motivated, proactive, output-focused
- Tenacious; prioritises to meet tight deadlines
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel & Power Point
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer-centric; manages stakeholder expectations
